For Coach Amie Day, these are the words she lives by. As the Track Training coach at Enspire365, Amie will push you to dream big and encourage you to achieve those dreams through hard work and proper instruction.

When Amie was 3 years old, a Christmas Day car crash that resulted in her being paralyzed from the waist down. Amie found the courage to dream bigger and work harder. After competing in track in high school as well as college, she qualified for the 2000 Sydney Olympics at the age of 18. In the Sydney Olympics she competed in the exhibition for the women’s 800-meter wheelchair race, and in the Paralympics she competed in the 100-, 200-, 400-, 800-, 1,500- and 5,000-meter wheelchair races.

It is her heart and her passion for track that drives Amie to help inspire other athletes to reach for bigger dreams. Taking her personal track experience as well as her certification as a USA Track & Field Level 1 Certified Coach, Amie has the tools to help track athletes improve. Her areas of expertise include sprint training, form, endurance workouts and long jump. Amie is also a volunteer coach for the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association.

  • Member of the USA Paralympic & Olympic Athletic team (2000)
  • 2nd place finish in the Peachtree 10k held in Atlanta, GA (2000)
  • Won the Cedartown 5k (2000)
  • World Games Australia: 1st place finishes in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m,1500m (1999)
  • Gold medalist, World Games, Birmingham, England. (400m) Also won twosilver and one bronze. (800m, 200m, and 100m) (1998)
  • Invited to train at both the Olympic training centers in the USA. (ColoradoSprings, CO and Chula Vista, CA) (1999, 1997)
  • Numerous top finishes in the Lilac Bloomsday 12k held in Spokane, WA.
  • Elite Wheelchair Division for the Idaho Women’s Fitness Celebration (1997-1999)
  • Won numerous junior national events and set records; all held throughout theUnited States. (1995-2000)
